Our take
I picked up the Acer Nitro EDA270 Z expecting a good deal for high-refresh gaming, and overall it delivers. The 240Hz VA panel is plenty fast for competitive play, and the 1ms response time keeps ghosting minimal. However, the 250-nit brightness is on the dim side, even for indoor use, and the VA panel's viewing angles are narrow. My main gripe is that it only has HDMI inputs—no DisplayPort—so you may be capped at 240Hz depending on your GPU. Colors are decent but not vivid. For the price, if you're not sensitive to brightness, it's a capable esports monitor.
